Uttar Pradesh: Hair of a teenager who got on a Ferris wheel in Kannauj got tangled and his scalp was torn off

In a horrific accident that took place at a local fair in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh, a 14-year-old girl was seriously injured after her hair got tangled in the Ferris wheel bar. The incident, which took place on Saturday evening, was captured on video and later went viral on social media.

The girl, identified as Dharmendra Katheria’s daughter Anuradha, was riding the Ferris wheel with her friends when her hair got caught in one of the rotating bars of the Ferris wheel. The rotating force of the machine pulled her hair and scalp from her head, causing serious injuries.

Bystanders recorded footage showing her hair and scalp hanging from the Ferris wheel as locals helped her. In the video of the incident, it was seen that he was bleeding from his head and could not stand on his feet due to the trauma.

Due to the extent of her injuries, Anuradha was rushed to a nearby hospital for initial treatment before being shifted to Lucknow’s PGI Hospital and is currently in intensive care.

Following the accident, Anuradha’s mother filed a complaint with the police, leading the authorities to launch an investigation. A lawsuit was filed against the Ferris wheel operator, who reportedly fled the scene immediately after the incident. Efforts are ongoing to find the operator and hold him accountable.

The accident took place during a two-day fair held annually in Kannauj, which features numerous rides and stalls.
