Sancoale Village Panchayat seeks legal opinion on ‘non-interference’ in Butani building permit

SANCOALE: Sancoale Panchayat sought legal opinion on “non-interference” with construction permit in Bhutan. A lawyer points to the PIL in the Supreme Court and recommends no action. The other lawyer gives Butani a clean chit saying they have all the permits. The Sancoale Panchayat held a special meeting on Tuesday to discuss the construction permit granted to Bhutani Infra. Opposition members claimed the meeting was incomplete, citing an unsigned legal opinion that was not read by the secretary. However, the board chaired by Dy Sarpanch Derick Vales stated that the meeting concluded successfully.
