Jordan Love health…more pass rush…better LB play…better health in the secondary…consistency in the OL…what do you think is the key to a good to great second half surge?

It’s no coincidence that you’re leading Love’s health, Monty.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned from this past week: Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good. We came so close to a perfect week at NFCN, but in the end we only got one out of three. It’s time to run, and it starts Sunday in Chicago.

Good teams find ways to win in adverse situations. The Packers’ 6-3 start speaks to this. Unfortunately, Detroit and Minnesota earned a few Ws of their own against the AFC South.

Eight games left and it’s going to get cold. These are just two of the games in the domes. It’s time to step up for runners and kickers!

In fact, that call goes to everyone on the roster, not just the running backs and kickers. This is Packers weather, and Sunday’s game at Soldier Field would be a great time to remind the NFL of that.

If you build it, they will come. In my humble opinion, the Bears’ single-minded focus on finding the next great quarterback is misguided. There were a lot of them and they are almost always chewed. If the Packers can execute and clean up their self-inflicted wounds, I’m confident they can beat the Bears’ TEAM. Also, isn’t the beauty of having four running backs the next guy out when one goes down?

It doesn’t mean much for Chicago during this three-game losing streak, but at the end of the day, your quarterback can’t be sacked nine times. Whether it’s the offensive line not holding up or Caleb Williams holding the ball for too long, it’s hard to win in this league when your QB is getting hit that often. Williams’ 38 sacks are now four more than CJ Stroud’s in the NFL. In contrast, Green Bay’s QBs were sacked 12 times, a league low.

Frankly, the Bears are struggling, especially on the offensive side of the ball. If you’re Mr. Hafley, do you tend to put extra pressure on a struggling rookie QB, or do you prefer your front four to be disruptive enough and maximize coverage?

It depends. Can the Packers come home with four regular tackles against Chicago’s offensive line? If they can, there may not be a need to engage in five- or six-man attacks as often. One way or another, Green Bay needs to apply pressure because the Bears’ offensive numbers since the bye are staggering: 18 punts, five turnovers, four field goals, two touchdown runs, one lost fumble and one safety. Strangest of all, Williams neither threw a touchdown pass nor had an interception. Here’s hoping for more of the latter than the former.

The Bears have yet to face a division opponent, but the Falcons and Saints have played five of six games, with the last game coming in the final week. I understand that NFL scheduling is a bit of a dark art, but doesn’t that level of disparity really skew the playoff picture for the entire conference?

It’s crazy that Chicago got to Week 11 without facing an NFC North opponent. Every show has its quirks, but this year definitely seems heavier on oddities than most years.

My point about the Bears game is this: When the beloved Packers secondary, Caleb Williams, is running around and holding the ball for too long, keep your gloves away from the receivers. Chicago doesn’t need automatic starters.

Now I feel like I need a “Gloves off” t-shirt.

Hi Wes, I want you to share some of your vast experience in football (and even more than mine). I personally think the offense will look brighter than before at halftime, especially in the red zone. The reason I say this is because Robert Saleh will have more time to work with Matt LaFleur on offense and how to adapt to defenses that hinder the Packers. What do you say? Do you think Salih can have a big impact?

Of course, Salih is definitely a part of this. He’s a great football coach and is uniquely positioned to give LaFleur an honest summary of what the Packers’ offense does well and what it needs to work on. Green Bay’s offense, man. Considering what happened at QB, I think the team played well in the first half. It just needs to tie up a few things, namely penalties.

Guys, Grant’s comment about not hating division rivals anymore is likely rooted in changing times, but I think part of it is that the Packers have been too good for too long. It was easy to underestimate the Bears when we got beat by them every season. You think Detroit doesn’t remember its decades-long disappointment in Wisconsin? Amon-Ra St. Check out the “greenbay sucks” sweatshirt on Brown. Bears fans chanted “Green Bay sucks” in London. Pain makes it more meaningful, and we haven’t been in that much pain lately.

Smoke forms around the stove. I think there are combustible elements in place that will keep the Packers-Lions rivalry mushrooming for years to come. There is a fair amount of competition and trash talk. Give him time.

It seems like most of your questioners have never played a strenuous sport. An ankle injury is a difficult injury to recover from, especially if it is in the wrong place. I sprained my ankle badly and slid into home plate that wasn’t set up correctly. No respite, no tears, no standing still will do any good. I was 19 years old. Fifty-four years later I still suffer every day. Seeing NFL players play 3-4 weeks after shoulder separation gives me goosebumps. No matter how long the recovery takes.

Football is a chess match played with bruises. The average person couldn’t even imagine what an NFL player goes through to be out there every Sunday.
