Carson City deputies make arrests for assault with a deadly weapon, domestic battery and warrant | Carson City Nevada News

A 35-year-old man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.

Danny Pacheco was taken into custody at 20.56 after the investigation. According to the booking report, deputies were dispatched to a residence on 6th Avenue for a report of assault with a deadly weapon. The reporting party told dispatch that the man held a knife to him.

Deputies learned that the parties were in different rooms and the woman had locked herself in the bathroom. Both were asked to leave the residence where officers were interviewing the victim and suspect.

According to the report, the woman said they were both drinking, the man was holding two knives and made comments to the woman such as “let’s go.”

The report stated that the suspect was read his Miranda rights and agreed to speak, saying he was involved in an argument. He initially told the officer that the woman became upset during an argument and locked herself in the bathroom. The report states that he told officers that there was no physical fight with the woman.

The officer told the man he wanted him to be honest and tell his side. The man eventually told the deputy he grabbed two knives from the kitchen and banged them together during the argument, the report states. The deputy asked where he put the knives. The man said he put them back in the kitchen. The officer told the man that they had already searched the kitchen for the knives, but they were not there. The man eventually told the officer he put the knives in a black and yellow tub in the laundry room, according to the report.

Officers returned to the residence and went to where the man said the knives were. A deputy placed the knives where the man said they would be. Deputies say the man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Bail: $20,000.

In other arrests:
— A 21-year-old Carson City woman was arrested at 9:24 a.m. Sunday on suspicion of domestic battery. According to the booking report, deputies were dispatched to a residence for a report of domestic battery. The anonymous party stated that there was an argument about an hour ago.

Officers arrived and spoke with a man who said he and the woman had been arguing over money matters. The man said he was trying to feed his child, but the woman started saying she wanted to feed the child. The woman took the bottle and started feeding the child, then suddenly attacked and started throwing drinks at the man, soaking him and his computer, the report said.

He said he told the woman to stop but she refused and punched him in the face and scratched him. The man stated that he did not remember how many times she hit him, but that the woman punched him many times and scratched her stomach and both arms. Officers observed multiple red marks on both arms and another on the sternum.

The woman said that she might experience “melting spells” and stated that she had a condition and that when she experienced these crises, she often lost herself and regretted what she had done. Due to the circumstances of the woman who confessed to scratching the man, it was determined that she was the real attacker and she was arrested. Bail: $3,000.

— A 47-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Sunday on a misdemeanor out of agency warrant for allegedly resisting a peace officer out of Storey County. The search warrant was issued on September 19, 2024. Bail: $5,000 cash.

— Jennifer Marie Hames, 41, was arrested Monday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription and three misdemeanor charges: possession of drug paraphernalia, required tail lights and running lights. necessary. Bail: $2,500.

— A 49-year-old woman was arrested Saturday on a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant issued by Reno County Court on March 3, 2022. Bail: $1,000 cash.
