Denver police sergeant arrested in connection with alleged DV-related assault

DENVER — A Denver police sergeant was arrested Monday in connection with an alleged domestic violence-related assault.

Denver Police Department (DPD), Sgt. Stephanie Neblock was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault related to domestic violence following an incident on Monday.

He was arrested in Douglas County. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is handling the criminal investigation. No other details about the incident were released.

DPD said Neblock joined the department in 2006 and worked in the Administrative Division before his arrest. He was placed on a “different offline assignment” and will remain there as the case progresses, DPD said.

Once the criminal case is adjudicated, DPD will begin its administrative review of the incident. This will include the Denver Department of Safety and the Office of Independent Monitoring.

He is scheduled to appear in Douglas County court on Dec. 3, according to court papers.
