Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce targeted in separate home burglaries

Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce had their homes burglarized within 48 hours last month, PEOPLE confirms. The first incident occurred on October 6, when Mahomes’ sprawling eight-acre property in Belton, Missouri, was broken into around midnight. Police responded to the property shortly after midnight but reported no signs of forced entry.

Less than two days later, on October 7, during the Chiefs’ game against the New Orleans Saints, Kelce’s home in Leawood, Kansas, was also broken into. The burglary resulted in $20,000 being stolen and the back door damaged, according to police reports.

Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, moved into their “dream home” in 2023, which features a 50-meter football field with the Mahomes logo, a pool and a golf course. Kelce, who bought his Leawood home more than a year ago, has yet to publicly address the burglary. Despite these events, the Chiefs went on to secure their next five wins, remaining undefeated this season. The team will now face the Buffalo Bills on November 17, reigniting last year’s playoff rivalry.
