Suspended KAMCO MD Prasanth thanks employees for their support

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Agro Machinery Corporation (KAMCO) MD N Prasanth on Wednesday expressed gratitude to employees at the state-owned company for their support during the recent controversies and his dismissal.

In a Facebook post, Prasanth expressed hope that although he is no longer a medical doctor, the initiatives he has taken will continue to yield results. “Even though I am no longer at the helm and on the ground, I will still accompany our company on its journey. I may not be your MD anymore, but we must see each of the initiatives we start through to completion,” he said. in question.

Reflecting on his short tenure as MD, Prasanth stated that although it was only two months, he felt lucky to have worked with such a dedicated and sincere team. He wrote: “If the secretary, president, board members, and employees decide to work wholeheartedly together to transform a company from a loss into a world-class institution, it can certainly happen.”

He thanked the officer corps as well as the CIT(U), AITUC and INTUC unions for supporting him and urged them to continue moving forward.

Prasanth was suspended by the Kerala government on Monday after he made critical remarks about Additional Chief Secretary Dr A Jayathilak on social media. Prasanth accused Jayathilak of damaging the careers and lives of his subordinates who did not follow his instructions. Prasanth, in a Facebook post, said that as a civil servant he is duty bound not to criticize government policy but feels no such obligation to remain silent about people like Jayathilak.
