18-year-old arrested for throwing water bottle at U-BYU football game

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — An 18-year-old was arrested following an incident during the “Holy War” match played between the two countries. University of Utah And Brigham Young University Saturday, November 9th.

William Gardner, 18, is accused of using a water bottle that hit a BYU cheerleader on the field at Rice-Eccles Stadium during a game. Gardner was arrested Nov. 12 on a charge of assault, a class A misdemeanor. University of Utah Police Department officials said Gardner was not a U of U student.
