Keshawna Smith, also a Warren resident, was charged in the same court with tampering with evidence of allegedly deleted messages and call logs between herself and her brother about the shooting, according to Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido.

Jones allegedly went to a residence in the 11000 block of Paige Avenue around 2 a.m. Friday morning and encountered Stanley Smith, Keshawna Smith and a third unnamed sister outside. Warren police said Jones shot Stanley Smith.

Officers arrived and found Smith dead in the backyard of the residence from multiple gunshot wounds.

Information gathered at the scene led police to a residence in the 11000 block of Jewett Avenue, six blocks away, where persons of interest and/or suspects were believed to be located, authorities said.
