St. Johnsbury restaurant robbed, police seek information

ST. JOHNSBURY — Papa Tirozzi’s Restaurant, a popular local eatery, was the target of a burglary, according to Vermont State Police.

The break-in at the business on Portland Street was discovered early on November 11, when an unknown person or persons forced their way in through the window the night before.

According to police, the theft occurred around 23:30 on November 9, when the restaurant was closed.

Upon notification of the incident, the police arrived at the scene at around 07.08.

An investigation was immediately launched and it was discovered that various valuables had been stolen from the facility.

Details regarding the specific items stolen were not released.

Authorities have not identified any suspects at this time and are appealing for help from the public.
