Gardaí are investigating.

An investigation has been launched into the theft of two diggers and a rock crusher from a business in Co Donegal.

Gardaí in Letterkenny are investigating the theft of machinery from a business in Drumnahoe, Letterkenny, between 9pm and 9.20pm on Saturday night, November 9.

Two excavator buckets belonging to a Kubota excavator and a JAB rock breaker were stolen from the building.

The business in question is located on the outbound lane, not far from the Dry Arch roundabout.

Gardaí are particularly interested in any White Transit van seen in the area, or dashcam footage of it.

The van in question is believed to have stopped on the Port road as it appeared to have missed the entrance to the facility in question.

Then, we walked back a little before entering the facility.

Gardaí hope this little detail will jog the memory of other motorists as it is unusual behavior on such a busy road.

A Garda spokesman said: “We are requesting dashcam footage from anyone who may have been traveling on the inner and outer lanes of the Harbor Road between the Dry Arch roundabout and the Polestar roundabout in Letterkenny between 8.30pm and 9.30pm on that date.

“If anyone remembers seeing the van in question or has dashcam footage from the area, we would ask them to please contact Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100.

“We would ask anyone who comes across similar second-hand items to alert Gardaí immediately. The Garda Confidential line can be reached on 1800 666 111.”
