Coronation Street symbol Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) has had a tough time lately following Joel Deering’s (Calum Lill) despicable behavior and subsequent murder.

Dee-Dee and Joel were engaged to be married, but when Joel discovered she was being groomed and mistreated, Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton), ended things quickly and took it upon himself to make sure she faced justice.

next to you DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), Dee-Dee got enough evidence to see this Joel was arrested and charged for his crime.

Unfortunately, he never faced justice as he did not appear in court for his plea hearing.

Then things changed when Joel’s body was found and His death was declared a murder.

In the weeks that followed, Dee-Dee struggled with guilt. Attacking Joel with a crowbar the night he died.

In the final scenes, he confesses his actions to DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), who immediately arrests him.

However, he was later released after new evidence emerged proving that Joel was not killed with a crowbar.
