Speaking at a special screening organized by fashion designer Prabal Gurung in midtown Manhattan, Khan recalled that he “loved the script” when he first read it at a script competition in which he was a jury member. Khan stated that the film is about women’s agency and said, “It is time for men to contribute to this as well. In a way, they do this too. I think this is a very important film.”
Khan added as the team started working on the script, “I realized there are so many different aspects to it and male friendship is a very important aspect and I think that’s important in life anyway.”
“I think women should help men, vice versa. Men should help women… I just see it as human beings. If someone is making such an unfair deal, how can you just stand by and watch it happen?” ?
