Video shows theft ‘related’ to Mahomes and Kelce cases

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — More details emerge Theft at Mahomes residence Loch Lloyd.

Police say another burglary occurred the day before the Mahomes home shooting, resulting in the theft of hundreds of thousands of dollars in jewelry.

The scene of the crime is just minutes away from the home of Travis Kelce, who was shot at Mahomes’ home shortly after the incident.

FOX4 has obtained two exclusive videos of this incident. In the video, you see the moment when thieves took over a house in Leawood wearing full protective gear.

In another part of the video, in the far right corner you see one of the two crooks lying on the grass, after breaking the window to enter the house, be careful of the thief inside, he is causing damage.

Fortunately, this family was not at home when the criminals broke in.

“I didn’t know what was happening in our neighborhood, but if it’s happening in our neighborhood, it’s scary,” said a neighbor in the Leawood neighborhood.

“First, what are the police doing about this and do we need more patrols or what will protect us?”

Police records show thieves stole more than $500,000 worth of jewelry.

Due to the seriousness of the crime, the victims did not appear on camera. However, it was stated that the duo, who spent 20 minutes in their home, also managed to steal the safe containing two guns.

This burglary occurred on October 5, just one day before Mahomes’ home was hit and two days before Kelce’s home was hit.

In the following days, police told the victims that this was related to the crime that took place at Kelce’s home.

Chiefs use research firm to gain insight into fan base’s views on stadium

Police declined to respond directly but released a statement saying:

“The Leawood Police Department follows all investigative leads, works with victims to solve open cases, and asks the public to be vigilant and report suspicious activity. Leawood is consistently one of the safest cities in Kansas and our officers provide daily patrols to ensure safety is maintained – Leawood Police Department .”

A spokesperson also sent FOX4 statistics showing burglaries in the city of Leawood are down from the same time last year.

According to TMZ, the FBI is assisting on both sides of the state line.

A police source also confirmed that a local department had increased surveillance at the home of another high-profile Chiefs player.
