Man found dead with gunshot wounds and stab wounds | News

A man was killed in New Providence Wednesday night, police said.

Police said the incident occurred near Killdeer Drive and Beatrice Boulevard.

Officers responded to gunshots around 11 p.m., and when they arrived, they found the man suffering from gunshot wounds and stab wounds to his head and body.

Police said the victim confronted an unidentified man in a white Japanese vehicle, who stabbed and shot him multiple times and then fled west on Killdeer Drive.

The number of murders committed in the Bahamas so far this year is 106.
