A Miami Police Department arrest report states that the girl’s mother went to police Thursday to report finding her 12-year-old child’s cell phone the day before.

Authorities said the woman became suspicious after her daughter asked twice if she could leave the house. Police said the woman refused and eventually became suspicious and took her daughter’s cell phone.

There, he found explicit conversations between his daughter and Fernandez Gonzalez, including “nude videos,” the report says.

Police said the girl told detectives that she encountered Fernandez Gonzalez at his Little Havana apartment as he went downstairs to help his father carry groceries.

Fernandez Gonzalez, of Little Haiti, “approached her and asked for her phone number and age,” the report states.

Police said the girl informed them she was 12 years old. Police said he told them he was 27 and that he “didn’t mind.”

The report states that Fernandez Gonzalez then began sending explicit photos and videos of himself and told her in Spanish, “I want to fuck you.”

Police said the girl told detectives that Fernandez Gonzalez “tried to meet her in person multiple times.”

Police said that after the girl returned home from school on Wednesday, Fernandez Gonzalez told her to meet him at the building’s laundry room, which eventually led her mother to discover the sexually explicit messages.

After the woman reported what happened to police, detectives seized the girl’s cell phone to communicate with Fernandez Gonzalez undercover, according to the report.

He posed as a girl and texted the detective in Spanish, saying, “I want to see you because I like you, I want to give you a kiss,” police said. “I can see you at my friends house, he left me the key, I have to go now, I will let you know when I get there, I will just give you a kiss.”

“I just want to give you delicious kisses,” he added, police said.

Authorities say the detective met Fernandez Gonzalez at 3825 NW Seventh St. He said he had arranged a meeting at the Target shopping plaza at .

Instead of confronting the girl, Fernandez Gonzalez confronted MPD’s Tactical Robbery Unit, police said.

Police said they interviewed Fernandez Gonzalez, who admitted to sending illicit texts and videos to the victim and signed and dated printouts.

Authorities also said he consented to a search of his electronic devices, which revealed four nude photos of the victim.

Police arrested Fernandez Gonzalez on four counts each of possession of child sexual abuse material and lewd and lascivious conduct on a child, traveling to meet a minor, sending harmful electronic material to a minor, and child molestation.

As of Friday, Fernandez Gonzalez was being held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Facility on $55,000 bail. If released, he will be subject to house arrest.

In a news release Friday, police urged other potential victims of Fernandez Gonzalez to come forward and contact the Special Victims Unit at 305-603-6300.

“The Miami Police Department is committed to protecting children from all forms of crime and will work tirelessly to identify and bring these prey targeting youth to justice,” said Officer Michael Vega, MPD spokesman.
