Zimdancehall musician Hwindi President is lucky to be alive after surviving a second car crash in a month.

The musician shared images of the heavily damaged car on his social media account earlier today. This is the third car Hwindi President has lost since October.

The black vehicle in which Chanter was involved in the accident crashed on the driver’s side. The hood crumpled inward, exposing the engine during the crash.

It is not yet clear whether Hwindi President was injured and the extent of the injuries resulting from the accident. Reports suggest that after ZIMRA seized his Chevrolet, a friend lent him the car.

The misfortune that haunts the musician

The Zimdancehall artiste had a car accident on Sunday morning, October 13, 2024, while returning to Harare from the Lake October event in Masvingo. The cause of the accident remains unclear.

Online footage shows Hwindi President and his team sitting next to their damaged vehicle, which had serious damage to the right side, including a broken windshield.

Following the accident, Hwindi faced another setback when the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) impounded his car on 28 October 2024. The Chevrolet with South African registration plates was seized as part of ZIMRA’s ongoing crackdown on smuggled and fraudulently imported vehicles.
