Suspect Couple May Be Linked to Murder | News, Sports, Jobs

A Jamestown couple involved in a standoff on Victoria Avenue this summer has been arrested on federal drug charges.

U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced that a federal grand jury indicted Jensen Vazquez, 38, and Kylah Seiberg, 29, on charges of narcotics conspiracy, possession of 40 grams or more of fentanyl, and possession of 50 grams or more of fentanyl. possession with intent to distribute grams or more of methamphetamine, cocaine, and using and maintaining a drug-related facility. The charges carry a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and a maximum sentence of life in prison.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Evan K. Glaberson, who prosecuted the case, said that according to the indictment and an earlier complaint, Vazquez, who is currently on federal probation, falsely informed his probation officer in August that he was moving house and that he was traveling with another person to Victoria Avenue in Jamestown. We are moving to a room in . Vazquez actually moved in with Seiberg.

In the early morning hours of August 17, Jamestown Police received a 911 call requesting emergency assistance for a serious head injury at a Victoria Avenue residence. Paramedics found a victim lying in a pool of blood at the bottom of the stairs and appeared to have been shot. The investigation is still ongoing.

The victim survived and told police that a person known as “Billy” had purchased a firearm from Vazquez shortly before the shooting. Shortly after first responders arrived, officers found Vazquez coming down the stairs from an upstairs apartment. Officers also encountered Seiberg standing on the side porch. Vazquez claimed to police that his e-bike appeared to have been stolen, suggesting that the stolen e-bike was linked to the shooting.

Investigators then executed a search warrant at the residence on Victoria Avenue, seizing an e-bike, quantities of methamphetamine, fentanyl and xylazine, cocaine, drug paraphernalia, handgun magazines and ammunition. Investigators also seized a 9mm handgun of the same caliber from Seiberg’s vehicle. the bullet that hit the victim.

Vazquez and Seiberg left the house before the search warrant was completed, hid in Jamestown for two days before fleeing to Florida and were released until September 3.

After losing the keys to Seiberg’s vehicle in Florida, they stole another vehicle and took it back to Jamestown.

On Sept. 3, investigators received information that people were at the residence on Victoria Avenue. Officers arrived and encountered Seiberg, who was taken into custody. While searching for Vazquez, Seiberg tried to escape by climbing out of a second-story window. When confronted by uniformed police officers, he climbed back into the flat and refused to come out. Seiberg was eventually taken into custody again, and Vazquez was later found hiding in insulation in the attic.

Investigators also seized approximately 65 grams of fentanyl. Later, complaining of stomach pain, Seiberg was treated at a local hospital while in police custody and was discovered to have more than seven grams of fentanyl in a plastic bag hidden inside his body.

The indictment is the result of an investigation by the Jamestown Police Department under the direction of Chief Timothy Jackson, the Drug Enforcement Administration under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Frank Tarentino, and the United States Probation Office.
