Lexington police say man incarcerated for rape and indecent liberties faces 15 charges of sexual exploitation of a minor

LEXINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — A man was arrested and a warrant was issued Thursday for sexually abusing a minor 15 times, the Lexington Police Department reported.

Forrest Patrick Gobble, 37, was arrested and booked into the Davidson County Jail in Lexington, according to a news release from LPD states.

Gobble was already incarcerated and was being held on a $500,000 secured bond. previous sexual offense accusationsIncluding statutory rape of a child, stemming from an investigation in Lexington in June of this year.

In that incident, Gobble was found engaging in sexual activity with a 14-year-old woman in the car.

Following Thursday’s arrest, Gobble was given a $250,000 secured bond, bringing his total bond to $750,000 secured.

Thursday’s charges are the result of an ongoing investigation into the June case, in which authorities allegedly found child sexual abuse material on Gobble’s digital devices.
