MSNBC host gets angry and interrupts after guest makes strange comment to Matt Gaetz during investigation

MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle said she “vomited in her mouth” after the debate over the Attorney General nomination went wrong on Matt Gaetz’s show and said she wanted to cut the commercial.

President-elect Donald Trump has pushed the controversial Florida Congressman and MAGA loyalist to become the nation’s top law enforcement official in a move that shocked Washington.

Nominating Gaetz was a matter of controversy Friday night. MSNBC’s ’11. ‘clock’Ruhle’s panel discusses this move.

Speaking on the show, Representative Max Rose said he believes the candidacy is actually around the 2026 governor’s race in Florida’s Gaetz state.

Gul said: ‘He will never get votes. They’ll have to cancel this race and he’ll spend the next two years running for governor and say, “‘The deep state establishment prevented me from winning,’ and that’s the summary of the MAGA gubernatorial campaign.’

Tom Rogers, Newsweek’s executive editor, added: ‘I agree. He will probably have to withdraw. Sorry, that’s a bad choice of words.’

Host Stephanie Ruhle said, ‘Ohh!’ he shouted, while Rogers added: ‘I think he’ll have to withdraw before the hearing takes place. This isn’t going to be something that goes really well.’

Ruhle then hilariously responded: ‘I vomited in my mouth and we have to go to commercial,’ which made her guests laugh a lot.

Gaetz has served as a member of Congress since being elected to that position in 2016, but resigned from his post following Trump’s decision to nominate him.

It was announced earlier this year that the GOP lawmaker was under investigation by the House Ethics Committee for sexual misconduct, illegal drug use and bribery.

He was also the subject of a Justice Department investigation into sex trafficking involving a 17-year-old girl, but charges were never brought.

“I am deeply honored to announce the nomination of Congressman Matt Gaetz of Florida to be U.S. Attorney General,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Wednesday afternoon.

“Matt is an extremely talented and driven attorney who studied at the William & Mary School of Law and has distinguished himself in Congress for his focus on achieving urgently needed reform at the Department of Justice,” Trump continued.

The president-elect claimed that there are few issues more important to his term in the United States than “ending the partisan weaponization of our Justice System.”

Trump claimed that Gaetz would ‘restore Americans’ faith and trust in the Department of Justice.’

Gaetz: ‘It will be an honor to serve as President Trump’s Attorney General!’ He shared a post on X in response to the announcement.

Gaetz rose to prominence for his controversial statements as a member of Congress and his actions as a member of the Freedom Caucus.

After taking office during Trump’s first term, he became one of the leading critics of Russia’s investigations into the 45th president.

In 2018, he invited a Holocaust denier accused of right-wing extremism as a guest at the president’s State of the Union address.

Last fall, Gaetz led conservative Republicans’ efforts to oust House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, leading to a dramatic showdown on Capitol Hill and an embarrassing number of votes as GOP lawmakers scrambled to find a replacement.

The House Ethics Committee’s investigation into Gaetz began in 2021 at the request of the Justice Department.

It was expanded earlier this year to include reviews of allegations of sexual harassment and illegal drug use as part of the long-running investigation.

Gaetz denied all allegations made against him before the committee.

In September, the married lawmaker claimed the investigation was “an exercise in political revenge” and argued that “lawful, consensual sexual activity by adults is not Congress’s business.”

The nomination poses an immediate test of loyalty, days after the president-elect sent a signal to Senate leaders by demanding the authority to make “recess appointments” on his own while Congress is out of town.

Critics are calling the move a ‘horrific’ incident that puts Gaetz’s attorney general in the firing line of Trump’s enemies, the nation’s top law enforcement official.

Even if Gaetz sees his candidacy falter, this conflict could provide cover for other controversial Trump candidates.

It’s also a new test of loyalty for Senate Republicans, who on Wednesday elected Sen. John Thune as party leader over MAGA-affiliated Sen. Rick Scott, even though nearly all of them support Trump’s presidential run.

Trump announced his decision minutes after making a statement saying he would nominate Tulsi Gabbard, who infuriated critics with her allegations of ‘biology labs’ in Ukraine, as Director of National Intelligence.

He also chose Fox News host Pete Hegseth to head the sprawling Department of Defense.
