Fire demolition work on Church Street continues under cordon.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service has since been to and from the area as hotspots flared on Thursday and the police investigation continues to establish the cause of the fire.

During Saturday (November 16), demolition work, led by the Pete Marquis group, was carried out from the Shepherd Street side of the building, while demolition work extended to the Church Street front of the building. Debris was seen falling onto Church Street.

Police objections continue Track down 37-year-old Marcin Kozierowski The person they said might be sleeping rough inside the building. He is classified as a missing person.

Demolition work and the presence of emergency services are expected to continue throughout the weekend and into Monday (18 November).
