Ending banks for paper would save environment and money, minister says

Scrapping banks for paper recycling is good for the environment and will save the government up to £50,000 a year, the island’s Infrastructure Minister has said.

At the Keys Council this week, Tim Crookall MHK faced questions about the end of paper banks around the Island.

He said that in 2004, banks bought 1,200 tons, but last year this figure fell below 200 tons.
