Hit-and-run dead on Lafayette Road, Kessler Boulevard – Indianapolis News | Indiana Weather | Indiana Traffic

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — One person was killed in a hit-and-run that occurred Sunday morning on the near northwest side, Indianapolis police said.

Online police reports show that Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to the intersection of Lafayette Road and West Kessler Boulevard North Drive around 7:50 a.m. to investigate a crash that resulted in injuries.

This is in a business and residential area just north of West 16th Street.

Shortly thereafter, the call type was updated to “accidental fatal hit-and-run.”

It’s unclear what type of vehicle fled the scene, whether anyone else was injured in the incident or whether traffic will be affected.
