Delhi High Court Rejects Bail to Gogi Gang Member in Extortion Case

The Delhi High Court has denied anticipatory bail to notorious Gogi Gang member Rahul Dogra in connection with an extortion case linked to a police station in Kanjhawala. The decision came after an alleged gunfight in front of the complainant’s office on September 22, 2024, which was captured on CCTV footage.

Judge Manoj Kumar Ohri, after going through the prosecution’s case report, said Dogra claimed to have links to an active criminal network and highlighted recorded evidence of gunshots through recovered cartridges and surveillance footage. Ohrid concluded that Dogra’s application did not have sufficient grounds to warrant his release on bail.

Dogra’s lawyer, Advocate JP Singh, argued that his client was wrongly implicated in the crime, emphasized the lack of material evidence in the FIR and questioned the lack of call details record link to the complainant. In response, the Prosecution made his defense difficult by presenting evidence of alleged extortion linked to Dogra and his associates. (MOMENT)
