Reports: Bochum bring Riemann back from suspension

Manuel Riemann has not played since being suspended for incidents in the dressing room ahead of VfL Bochum’s relegation play-offs last season.

But now, according to both WAZ and Sky Germany, the former first-choice goalkeeper is set to return to the squad.

According to the information obtained, the legal process regarding Riemann’s suspension resulted in the parties reaching an agreement out of court.

The executive committee and supervisory board were undecided for a long time, but the decision has now been made as new head coach Dieter Hecking and CEO Ilja Kaenzig are reportedly in favor of bringing Riemann back.

The 36-year-old goalkeeper is expected to return to training on Monday and will initially be third choice behind Patrick Drewes and Timo Horns.
