Police say Vallejo man confessed to killing his mother after allegedly stabbing his wife

VALLEJO – A man who admitted to killing his mother in Vallejo on Saturday was arrested for murder and attempted murder, police said.

The incident began around 8:45 a.m. Saturday when police say they responded to Sereno Drive near N Camino Alto for a report of a stabbing.

Police later learned that a man and woman with stab wounds were taken to the hospital in critical condition. The pair underwent surgery at the hospital and are expected to survive, police said.

During the investigation, police determined that Frank McMillan, 63, of Vallejo, allegedly stabbed his wife before stabbing himself.

Police said after surgery, McMillan confessed to killing his mother at a home on Campbell Avenue near Gleason Boulevard.

Police then conducted a welfare check at the home and entered when they received no response. This is where they say they found McMillan’s mother dead.

McMillan was later arrested for attempted murder and murder, according to police. After being medically cleared, he was taken to the Solano County Jail.
