Motel 6 Prospect Heights news: Man stabbed to death during argument at 540 North Milwaukee Avenue, police say

PROSPECT HEIGHTS, Illinois (WLS) — A man was stabbed to death at a northern suburban motel Sunday morning, police said.

Prospect Heights police said the stabbing happened at the Motel 6 on Milwaukee Avenue.

The police received a call around 02:02 at night. When officers arrived, they found a man stabbed. He died at the scene.

The suspect remained at the scene and was detained by police. Investigators said the suspect was cooperative.

Police think the stabbing may have led to an argument between a group of friends.

Police have not released any information regarding the identity of the victim.
