Springfield Police Officer John Toledo suspended

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A Springfield police officer has had his certification suspended by the POST Commission.

Suspension of civil servant John Toledo It was confirmed by the restraining order issued last week. This follows a 75-day restraining order issued by the Springfield Board of Police Commissioners in October for violating rules and regulations.

22News contacted Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh, who was unable to comment on the reason for Toledo’s suspension. Toledo was previously fired in 2021 for sharing photos of an inmate. He was reinstated by an independent arbitrator.
