Troopers: Johnstown woman charged with burglary in Perth | Leader Herald News

PERTH – A Johnstown woman has been charged in connection with a home burglary in Perth, New York State Police said Monday.

Leslie J. Davis, 55, of Johnstown, was charged last week with second-degree burglary, a felony, police said.

Police said the investigation began on November 11 after troopers received a complaint about a past burglary at a home in Perth.

Investigators determined Davis had been observed going through trash on the property the previous day and had left the area in a vehicle when he encountered the homeowner, police said.

Police said the victim later noticed Davis allegedly entering the home and taking items without authorization or permission. The house was empty at that time.

Davis was arrested and taken away to await trial.
