Bowling Green Police have issued a citation for aggravated menacing and criminal damage against an 18-year-old Wayne man who reportedly threatened four teenage boys with a knife at a restaurant in the 1400 block of East Wooster Street.

The children called police around 10:40am on Sunday (11/17) after they were reportedly threatened by two men wearing balaclavas and one carrying a knife.

According to the police report, the boys got into a verbal argument with Hevn Shyver, the masked woman who was using the men’s restroom. Shyver reportedly left the restaurant, then re-entered with a knife and a man wearing a ski mask. Shyver allegedly threatened to stab the children in the chest.

Allegedly, the children ran away from the restaurant and got into a vehicle. Shyver allegedly swung the knife at one of the children, damaging the rear passenger door with two scratch marks.

Two people wearing ski masks then got into their vehicles and followed the children.

The boys gave police a description of the car and its license plate, which was detected by a license plate camera at South Main Street and Palmer Boulevard.

When Shyver told police he was at the restaurant picking up a Door Dash delivery, the boys reportedly verbally attacked and taunted him. He had to go back inside to get another order and told police he took the knife with him as protection. Shyver told police he did not intend to damage the vehicle.
