Family appeals for help in disappearance of Gary woman

GARY, Ind. (WNDU) – The family of a missing Gary woman has pleaded with the public to help them find her.

Emma Baum, 25, was nine months pregnant when she was last seen in Gary on October 10.

Baum’s family said that Emma was at a boyfriend’s house that day and was not heard from afterwards. They say he didn’t have a working phone with him when he disappeared.

Baum is a mother of three and was about to give birth to the baby when she disappeared.

WMAQ-TV in Chicago reports that Gary police told them they received a missing person report on October 28, more than two weeks after Baum was last seen.

Police said they searched different areas and conducted numerous interviews but did not make any arrests.
