Man takes plea deal for involvement in brutal beating in Fargo’s downtown

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – A man accused of being part of a brutal beating in downtown Fargo has taken a plea deal.

Travice Ledoux was charged with aggravated assault and accessory to aggravated assault. The first charge was dismissed and the accessory after the fact charge was reduced to a misdemeanor.

He was given credit for time already served since his April arrest and was sentenced to 2 years of supervised release.

Fargo Police responded to a fight in the 600 block of NP Avenue North on April 6, 2024. The victim told officers he saw an assault taking place and approached the group to break up the fight. According to court records, many other people joined the fight.

Documents say one man suffered a broken nose, several broken bones, required surgery to insert a titanium plate into his forehead, and also suffered from speech impairment that required speech therapy. The other man was knocked unconscious, had a broken tooth, and had bruising and pain all over his body.

LeDoux was arrested on April 21 as police tried to piece together all the suspects involved. Five more people were eventually arrested and charged with the beating: Angelica Hernandez, Sergio Ganados, Terrell Smith, Esiquio Hernandez, and John Hernandez.

in October, Angelica Hernandez He pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact to aggravated assault, which was reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor charge. He was sentenced to 2 years probation.

Esiquio Hernandez is charged with being an accessory to robbery, aggravated assault and aggravated assault. He has pleaded not guilty and is scheduled to appear in court again in December.

John Hernandez and Terrell Smith are charged with aggravated assault and accessory to aggravated assault. Hernandez is scheduled to go to trial next December, and Smith is scheduled to go to trial next spring.
