SIU obtains protection order for Pule Mabe’s home Porsche

Pule Mabe is accused of corruption in relation to a R27-million contract allegedly awarded irregularly to his company in 2017.

The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) has obtained a protection order from the Special Court against Groen Mintirho (formerly Enviro Mobi), a company linked to former parliamentarian and corruption-accused African National Congress (ANC) national executive committee member Pule Mabe.

The SIU plans to seize a house and a Porsche 911 sports car in the luxury estate of Steyn City.

SIU spokesman Kaizer Kganyago said: “This order restricts Mabe from selling, renting, transferring or otherwise dealing with certain assets, including an immovable property located in Steyn City, Gauteng, and a Porsche 911 Carrera GTS, a luxury motor vehicle.” ” he said.

In addition to the protection order, SIU petitioned the Special Court for review to invalidate the tender decision and recover funds illegally paid to Groen Mintirho.
