Two men face two separate burglary charges in Tupelo

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – We hear law enforcement officials repeatedly emphasize that residents and businesses with good security systems make their investigations easier.

Two recent arrests in Tupelo confirm this.

On November 10, Tupelo Police were called to a home on North Green Street in reference to a suspected burglary.

The homeowner said someone broke into the house and took many items.

The homeowner also handed over the security camera to the police.

Three days later, officers arrested Preston Stokes of Fulton.

Stokes was charged with Burglary of Dwelling.

His bond was set at $30,000.

A separate case on Nov. 11 landed a Tupelo man in jail.

Police were called to the Express Store on South Eason Boulevard on a report of a person entering the business and stealing several items.

The video from the security system was once again effective in solving the case.

Investigators identified a suspect and arrested Caelen Triplett on November 14.

Triplett was charged with Burglary of a Commercial Premises.

His bond was set at $5,000.
