His widow says the case against Daim will be decided in court

PETALING JAYA: It was the late Tun Daim Zainuddin’s wish that no matter what happened to him, the ongoing charge against him would continue, so there was no need for the Attorney General or the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission to look into it, says his widow Toh Nokta Na. Imah Abdul Khalid.

He said this was because the investigation, which had been going on for more than a year, was “frivolous, malicious and politically motivated”.

“That this is baseless is evident from the fact that neither the Prime Minister nor MACC chief Tan Sri Azam Baki could say whether Daim had committed any crime because there was no such crime,” he said in a statement. On Tuesday, November 19th.

“I would like to state categorically on Daim’s behalf that he wishes the ongoing charge against him to continue in court until a resolution is reached, regardless of what happens to him.”
