These drivers in Winslow, Shamong died in separate crashes this weekend

Two drivers were killed in recent single-vehicle crashes on South Jersey highways.

A Sicklerville man crashed his vehicle into a utility pole while trying to pass another car in Winslow Sunday afternoon, police said.

A day earlier, a Pemberton woman’s vehicle left the road and crashed into several trees at an intersection in Shamong.

Police said the driver of the Winslow crash, 53-year-old Preston Newbey, was ejected from his vehicle during the crash on westbound Williamstown Road near Lakedale Road around 5:15 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

In the other crash, 25-year-old Jesenia Sosa-Sanchez apparently ran through the stop sign at eastbound Tuckerton Road at Forked Neck Road around 10:30 a.m., New Jersey State Police said.

Police said the vehicle went off the road and crashed into several trees.
