As Sandra says, “I don’t need a newspaper to be a devoted partner and a devoted mother.” Their relationship wasn’t about labels; it was about shared love, family and support.

Although they never married, Sandra and Bryan created a blended family. Sandra already had her adopted son, Louis, and Bryan had his daughter, Skylar, from a previous marriage. Sandra also adopted a girl named Leila shortly after they met. Their shared devotion to their children was undeniable. Sandra explained that she knew Bryan was the right partner: “He is the example I would want my children to have,” she said.

Despite their differences, Sandra and Bryan made co-parenting work. She admitted: “Co-parenting is hard because I just want to do it myself.” But even if they didn’t always agree, he valued how Bryan’s strict Christian values ​​shaped their family dynamic. “He is the best parent to be in this position,” he said.

Sadly, Bryan passed away on August 5th after a difficult battle with ALS at the age of 57. Sandra has so far remained silent about his death, but her sister Gesine Bullock-Prado posted a touching tribute on Instagram. She provided significant support to Sandra as she was the rock that Bryan needed as his health took a hit. “I believe Bry has found the best fishing spot in heaven,” Gesine said, adding: “I take comfort in knowing my wonderful sister has the best caregivers.”

They may not have married, but Sandra and Bryan built something special together. That’s what matters.
