Why is the social platform losing popularity?

Account says goodbye to using X as media platform after ‘increase in inappropriate content’

Last week (Monday, November 11), the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge announced on X (formerly Twitter) that it would no longer be posting to the media site.

Their statement reads: “X (formerly known as Twitter) has been a great place to engage with our audiences over the last 15 years.

“However, recent changes to the platform have caused us to rethink using it.”

This follows The Guardian’s decision to leave the app, as announced via an article on Wednesday, November 13: “The Guardian has announced that it will no longer publish content from its official accounts on Elon Musk’s social media platform X.

“In its announcement to readers, the news organization stated that it believes the benefits of being on the platform formerly called Twitter now outweigh the negatives, citing the “often offensive content” found on the platform.

They informed readers: “We will no longer be posting to any official Guardian editorial accounts on social media site X.” More than 80 accounts accumulate 27 million followers.

The Guardian also explained that their decision was a result of the US presidential election, continuing: “The US presidential election campaign has only served to underscore what we have long thought: that X is a toxic media platform and that its owner, Elon Musk, has been able to use his influence to shape political discourse.” .”

Clifton Suspension Bridge also decided to leave X, causing his account to trend and reach 4.5 million views.

Many people cannot believe the seriousness of the post, perceive the statement as a joke and share their opinions in the comments.
