IPHONE SNOW WARNINGS

To get started, you’ll need to make sure the Weather app can access your location so it can give you accurate forecasts.

You can do this by going to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Weather.

Select Always and turn on Exact Location.

Then go to the Weather app.

Select the menu button in the bottom right corner, which looks like three bullets.

Then tap the menu icon (with three dots in a circle) in the top right.

Go to Notifications.

You should see a section called Current Location with two options underneath called Severe Weather and Next Hour Precipitation.

Open both.

Both are very useful, but what works best for snow weather alerts is the Next Hour Precipitation alerts.

“Next hour precipitation forecasts and precipitation notifications are available for Australia, Ireland, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States,” Apple says.

“The information is provided by Apple using data from national weather services.”
