Two convicted of murder over man found in Breaston river

Two men have been found guilty of the murder of a man whose throat was found dead in a stream with two knives.

The body of Owen Fairclough, 21, was found near Risley Lane in Breaston, Derbyshire, on 23 June 2023.

David Oswald, 31, of Granville Square, Birmingham, and another man, referred to as Man A, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were found guilty of murder and possession of an offensive weapon at Derby Crown Court on Tuesday.

The jury is yet to decide on a third man, who cannot be named for legal reasons.
