The body was found with a gunshot wound on N. York Street in Houston’s Second Ward in Buffalo Bayou, HPD said

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Police say an investigation is ongoing in Houston’s Second Ward after a body with gunshot wounds was found in Buffalo Bayou.

Around 9 a.m. Tuesday, the Houston Police Department confirmed that the body of a person was seen in the water at 901 N. York Street, an area where Buffalo Bayou runs.

HPD said the body was found to have suffered gunshot wounds.

Additional information about the shooting or the victim was not immediately released.
