Two stabbings investigated in Elkhart

Elkhart police are investigating two stabbings Monday evening.

The first incident occurred on South Main Street around 5:30 p.m.

Police teams arriving at the scene found the 49-year-old man injured with a knife.

He was taken to hospital due to the possibility that his life could be in danger.

A short time later, police arrested a 26-year-old man in connection with the investigation.

About an hour later, just after 6.30pm, there was a second stabbing on Brittany Court.

Near the Baymont Inn Hotel.

Police found a 39-year-old man with minor injuries.

No arrests have been made so far.

An investigation is ongoing.

It is considered that both incidents are isolated incidents and do not pose any danger to the public.
