St. Lucie County School Board employee arrested for molesting 6-year-old boy

LIMAN ST. LUCIE, Fla. —St. A man who works for the St. Lucie County School Board was arrested Monday for molesting a 6-year-old boy.

The investigation began in July when a mother died in Port St. It started when she told St. Lucie Police (PSLPD) that her child told her she had been touched inappropriately by a man who exposed his genitals.

The man has been identified as St. Louis since October 2023. He has been identified as 25-year-old Antonio Devarous Fields of Fort Pierce, who works as a bus aide for the St. Lucie County School Board.

According to PSLPD, the incident occurred in January at the private home of the victim’s family member. The family member was babysitting the child, and Fields was a family friend who lived at the home.

Fields and his family member have since moved to different addresses, and PSLPD has spent recent months investigating and trying to locate Fields’ current residence.

After locating and interviewing Fields on Monday, he was taken to St. Louis, where he was being held on $750,000 bail. He was taken to St. Lucie County Jail.

Fields faces two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim under 12 and one count of lewd and lascivious exhibition of a victim under 16.

PSLPD says there is no evidence to lead detectives to believe there were additional victims, but anyone who believes their child may have been a victim of Fields is encouraged to contact police.
