NDDB Celebrates 71st Cooperative Week: A Milestone in Community Strengthening | Vadodara News

NDDB's Cooperative Week celebrations have come to an end

Vadodara: Based in Anand National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) — in collaboration with Amul Dairy ProductsBaroda Dairy, Surat Milk Union, Amidhara Fruit and Vegetable Cooperative Ltd, Vasudhara Dairy, Godavari-Khore Milk Union, Kopargaon and Sahyadri Farms — celebrated the 71st All India Cooperative Week.
The week-long celebrations began on November 14 and ended on Wednesday. They were organized under the theme ‘Role of Cooperatives in Building Viksit Bharat’ through the Wheels of Cooperation campaign. This initiative is one of many planned to celebrate the NDDB’s diamond jubilee year.
The campaign introduced participants to important cooperative organizations. Visits include cooperative management, dairy production and sustainable farming practices income-generating activities such as beekeeping, value addition to fruits and vegetables, and management of farmer collectives.
The campaign organized by NDDB brought together cooperative leaders and members from Mujkuva village in Anand district. This village is the center of four different cooperative communities, each with a unique focus.
These cooperatives include the Mujkuva Milk Producers Cooperative Society, which combines advanced milk collection systems and environmental initiatives; Mujkuva Sakhi Khad Sahakari Mandali, one of India’s first women-led fertilizer cooperatives; Mujkuva Solar Pumped Irrigation Cooperative Enterprise, which supports farmers by using solar energy for irrigation and enables them to sell excess energy back to the grid; and Mujkuva Organic Farmers Cooperative Association.
“The campaign aimed to enhance cooperation by promoting best practices in dairy products, solar irrigation, manure management and organic farming,” the NDDB said in a statement.
