Arrest in Good Samaritan stabbing outside Miami-Dade cafeteria

MIAMI – Miami-Dade police say they arrested a man was attacked and nearly killed Good Tuesday night Samaritan Outside a restaurant in Southwest Miami-Dade.

The suspect was caught on camera being taken into custody near the restaurant where the attack took place outside Sabor Cubano Cafeteria, 12848 SW 8th Street, at 7:39 p.m.

Police have so far not identified him or said what charges he will face, but as he was being arrested he was mumbling some gang-related stuff and showing us his cell phone. He was placed in a nearby police cruiser on SW 8th St.

detectives They say it all started when witnesses said the suspect was harassing a female server and the 39-year-old Good Samaritan stepped in to help. Witnesses said the suspect hit him in the head several times, then stabbed him several times and then ran away.

The victim was taken to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital in critical condition. Police were unable to identify him.

They initially stated that the suspect had dark blue hair and was known as “Shorty”.

They say it’s unclear why he returned to the scene of the attack.
