Tom and Bingo’s legacy is kept alive with new products launched by former owners

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – When Tom and Bingo’s announced they were closing their doors, the community was shocked and rushed to get the last taste of their favorite barbecue.

Just months later, Tom and Bingo owners Kristi Clanton and Ian Timmons, with the help of some friends, came up with the idea of making beef chips aimed at being a healthy alternative for a snack.

“Once you try it, it’s very easy to understand what makes the brisket better than the classic beef jerky,” Timmons said. “It has an addictive crunch, it’s delicious and we use all clean ingredients. “It’s a simple product with real food and clean ingredients, and we think you’ll really like it.”

Timmons says it’s important for them to keep their business where it started.

“We wanted to create jobs here, we wanted to get Lubbock behind us and kind of represent Lubbock in the consumer packaged goods industry, and we wanted to create jobs and generate revenue for the city,” Timmons said. “The city has done so much for us at Tom and Bingos, and we believe in that.”

Timmons wants the community to know that the once-popular mom and pop store will live on in all their future ideas and plans as a family.

“I call it a legacy of Tom and Bingo. This business was born from Tom and Bingo, so this is the story of Tom and Bingo, my story and my family’s story. We’d love you to try our product and see what’s still coming from Tom and Bingo’s.”

There are three varieties of beef chips: original, lemon pepper and spicy paprika, you can purchase the product online on their website here.
