The news never stops, and Adam Schefter knows “how to get the job done.”

During the latest episode of the ESPN podcast This is Football with Kevin ClarkHost Clark asked the 57-year-old NFL insider what the “weirdest place” he’s covered is.

“I remember being in Denver one time,” Schefter began, before pausing. He finally laughed before continuing.

“I was… How do I say this? It was the first time I had spent time with this woman, and I got a text that Dale Carter had been suspended for eight games for substance abuse,” Schefter told Clark. “So as I continued to lie there, I confirmed it and had Kevin do the job – every way.”

This statement stunned Clark. “I’m just looking straight at the camera, man, that’s it,” the host said. “This is the greatest episode I’ve ever experienced.”

Following a headline in which Schefter allegedly reported that Carter had been pushed away during sex, Schefter clarified: X He said the breaking news came “after” the action.
