US Department of Justice charged Former Florissant, Missouri, police officer Julian Alcala was indicted in a federal investigation on 20 counts of deprivation of rights and one count of destruction of records. During traffic stops, Alcala took the women’s phones and told them it was to confirm their insurance coverage or vehicle registration, prosecutors said. But he actually searched for nude pictures on phones and would later photograph them with his own phone. In a separate case in the same court, the feds indicted former Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper David McKnight on nine counts of deprivation of rights and one count of destruction of records. Prosecutors said McKnight would do the same thing: He would take the phones of women he stopped, search for nudes and take photos of them with his phone.
