Two People Arrested for Organized Retail Crime at Tanger Sales Points

Rehoboth Beach, DE – Delaware State Police arrested Shakiel Carter of Dover and Tramel Wright of Hartly on charges of organized retail crime at Tanger Outlets in Rehoboth Beach on Saturday afternoon.

At approximately 4:14 p.m. Saturday, an officer responded to a shoplifting incident at The North Face, located at 36706 Bayside Outlet Drive. Police were informed that a female suspect was hiding the goods. When the police arrived, the suspect’s male accomplice had left the store.

The female suspect gave a fake ID before fleeing the scene and got into the Honda minibus with the male suspect and a child. Police found the minibus with the child inside abandoned. Witnesses helped locate male suspect Tramel Wright, who was arrested and found in possession of bags containing suspected heroin.

Shakiel Carter, identified as the female suspect, was captured at ACME Markets. During the search, stolen items worth over $1,700 from Victoria’s Secret and Under Armor were revealed. Carter and Wright were charged and taken to Troop 7.
