Authorities said she was between 2 and 6 years old and was wearing a pink dress and a diaper.

“No one has come forward to identify the little girl now known only as ‘Madisonville Jane Doe,’” Madison County Sheriff Travis Neeley said in a 2019 statement. The blog is published on NCMEC’s website.

The girl was also found with a feeding tube, authorities said. Medical experts believe he likely has a condition called micrognathia, which can affect his ability to eat on his own.

Authorities say the girl likely died three to five months before she was found. Forensic experts believe he was of Caucasian or Hispanic descent and had thick, dark hair. New genealogy research reveals he also has Native American ancestry.

When it was found in Texas, pollen analysis of its remains indicated it was from the southwestern United States or neighboring Mexico. Authorities say it’s even more likely that the woman came from southeastern Arizona.

To help identify the girl, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and NCMEC used a CT scan of the skull to create a facial reconstruction to show what the girl looked like in life.
